Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move through Term 1, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring a positive and productive start to the school year for all students.
At our school, we value respect for one another, our environment, ourselves, and the process of education. This is demonstrated through supportive and equitable actions across our community.
A key part of fostering this shared sense of respect and belonging is our school uniform. We ask for your continued support in ensuring students wear the correct uniform each day.
Students wear school uniform to:
- Encourage equity among students
- Ensure students are safely dressed for all school activities
- Show pride in their own appearance and in their school
- Recognise themselves as an integral part of the Aveley Primary School community
- Reinforce a strong sense of belonging
Wearing the school uniform correctly helps create a positive school culture and supports students to feel connected and ready to learn.
Our Year Six students recently returned from a very successful camp at Point Peron. They arrived back last Friday happily exhausted after a fantastic experience. I would like to personally thank the staff who gave up their family and personal time to attend: Mr Carvalho, Mr Lee, Mrs Walker, Mrs Whittle and Mrs Kaur. Your commitment to providing these opportunities for our students is greatly appreciated.
Students in Years Three and Five have been participating in NAPLAN testing. We are proud of the way students have approached this with focus and resilience.
I would also like to warmly welcome the incoming P&C for 2026. A special thank you to Peta Magorian for her continued leadership and expertise in the role of P&C President, along with all committee members for their tireless support of our school. If you are willing to assist with P&C events, please consider reaching out to the committee—your involvement is always valued.
Finally, voluntary contributions play an important role in supporting school programs and resources. I encourage families to pay their contributions to assist with the ongoing delivery of quality opportunities for our students. Families who have paid their contributions will be entered into a draw for a $100 voucher, kindly donated by the P&C.
We also invite you to check out our new school website, which contains a wealth of information about our programs, policies and upcoming events. It is a valuable resource for families and we encourage you to explore it.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our school.
Warm regards
Natalie Bracegirdle-Principal
