Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding Term 2, I’d like to thank our wonderful students, staff and families for your ongoing support and partnership throughout the semester.
Semester One reports are now available. I encourage all families to take some time over the holidays to download and read your child’s report, celebrating their achievements and discussing their learning goals for the semester ahead.
A huge thank you to our amazing P&C for once again delivering a fantastic Hollywood Disco. It was wonderful to see so many students enjoying the evening, and we sincerely appreciate the time and effort our volunteers put into making these events such a success.
We’re also delighted to share that Aveley Primary School has been successful in receiving the Supporting Canteens Grant. This funding will allow us to upgrade equipment and continue developing a sustainable, healthy menu that provides nutritious and appealing food options for our students and busy families. Thanks to Kim and Kate and our P&C for all the work they’re doing to improve our canteen.
Congratulations to the Amini family, who are the winners of the P&C $100 gift card for paying their 2026 Voluntary Contributions. Thank you to all families who have already contributed. The P&C will be running another gift card draw in Semester Two for all families who have paid their Voluntary
Contributions.
Looking ahead, Term Three is shaping up to be another exciting one. We begin with our NAIDOC Week celebrations in Week 1, followed by our Book Week Parade on Tuesday 28 July. Students will participate in a 10-day series of swimming lessons during Weeks 3–6, while other highlights include the Interschool Cross Country, House carnival and WAO excursion.
A reminder that the WA Student Assistance Payment will be available from 20 July, providing eligible families with support for schooling costs.
Finally, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, who continue to go above and beyond to support our students and school community every day. Their care, commitment and professionalism make Aveley Primary School such a wonderful place to learn and grow.
I wish all our families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday 21st July, refreshed and ready for another great term.
