Kindergarten Enrolment

Kindergarten Eligibility for Enrolment

The Department of Education’s selection process for places in Kindergarten for local intake schools is as follows:

  1. Students living in the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling enrolled at the school in 2026.
  2. Students who live in the intake area of the school but will not have a sibling at the school in 2026.
  3. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling at the school in 2026.
  4. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will not have a sibling at the school in 2026.

To enrol in Kindergarten your child must turn four years of age on or before 30 June in the year of entry. Children who do not meet this requirement will not be accepted for enrolment.

A birth certificate or extract of birth or passport must accompany the application for enrolment. Students will be placed in the year of study corresponding to their age group.

Your child can only go to Kindergarten when they meet Western Australia’s immunisation requirements. This helps to better protect our children and community from vaccine-preventable diseases. The same immunisation requirements apply to Kindergarten at a school, a community kindergarten and a childcare service. If you would like to know more about the Kindergarten immunisation requirements or immunisation services visit HealthyWA

NOTE:  If there is more than one student in any of the above categories, priority will be given to students living closest to the school, measured in a straight line from place of residence to the school.
