Enrolments

Applications for 2025 are now open!

Applications for Enrolments can be made at the administration office.

Aveley Primary School is a local intake area school.  Please check Schools Online to establish whether you reside in this area.  Please contact the school if any further information is required.

To enrol at Aveley Primary School there are a number of eligibility requirements and documents required.  These include:

DOCUMENT CHECK LIST

o         Original birth certificate (legal extract, not decorative copy).

o        Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement.  The statement must be dated within 2 months of the date of application for enrolment.  Can be obtained from Medicare or myGov.

o        Proof of Residence. To assist the school to determine the student’s eligibility under Local Area Intake, you are required to provide a minimum of 2 documents with your name and address details as proof that the address where your child will reside in within our local intake area

Evidence must be in the form of:

  • A current shire rates notice OR a copy of a current rental agreement OR water rates

One additional piece of evidence such as:

  • A power bill, gas bill, contents insurance, phone or internet bill, or WA drivers’ licence

o        If applicable, information relating to health or medical condition, disability, or additional needs.

o        If applicable, original Permanent Resident Visa documents, original Australian Citizenship certificates and original current passports (for either parent).

o        If applicable, current copies of Family Court Orders or Parenting Plans.

Once you have collated all the above required documentation, please call Aveley Primary School on 9297 7350 to make an appointment to submit your application. It is essential that all the information on these forms is accurate and current. Providing false or misleading information or statements may mean your application is declined.

AGE

Please note that for Kindergarten entry, the child must turn four years of age on or before 30 June in the year of entry. Children who do not meet this requirement will not be accepted for enrolment.

A birth certificate or extract of birth or passport must accompany the application for enrolment. Students will be placed in the year of study corresponding to their age group.

MEDICAL/DISABILITY/PERSONALISED LEARNING REQUIREMENTS 

To ensure that the most appropriate program is in place to meet student’s needs, following approval of your application, parents of students who require educational adjustments to access an appropriate curriculum are asked to contact the school to meet with a member of the Administration Team.

OVERSEAS STUDENTS 

Students who were born overseas must hold the appropriate Visa before applying at the school. For overseas students who are in Australia using an entry Visa, it is necessary that the office sights the original passport and Visa of the parent (primary Visa holder) and student at the time of application.

KINDERGARTEN ELIGIBILITY FOR ENROLMENT

The Department of Education’s selection process for places in Kindergarten for local intake schools is as follows:

  1. Students living in the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling enrolled at the school in 2025.
  2. Students who live in the intake area of the school but will not have a sibling at the school in 2025.
  3. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling at the school in 2025.
  4. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will not have a sibling at the school in 2025.

NOTE:  If there is more than one student in any of the above categories, priority will be given to students living closest to the school, measured in a straight line from place of residence to the school.
